I’m Ruan

a photographer with a love for real moments, beautiful light, and stories that deserve to be remembered.

I’ve been behind the camera for over 13 years now, and I still get excited every time I pick it up. Whether I’m photographing a wedding full of love and laughter, a space that feels like home, or a wild moment out in nature, I’m always chasing that one shot that makes you feel something.

My journey started in press photography, which taught me to work fast, think creatively, and always be ready for the unexpected. Those skills have shaped the way I shoot today — natural, relaxed, and real.

I specialize in weddings, real estate, and wildlife photography — three very different worlds, but all full of energy, beauty, and emotion. And that’s what I love most: capturing genuine moments that you’ll want to look back on again and again.

When I’m not out on a shoot or editing away with a coffee in hand, you’ll probably find me somewhere in the bush with my camera, enjoying the quiet, or spending time with the people I love.

Where I’m Based

I live in the beautiful town of Hoedspruit, right on the edge of the wild. It's the perfect place to combine my love for nature, photography, and a laid-back lifestyle. I regularly shoot across the Lowveld, Greater Kruger area, and beyond — and I’m always happy to travel if your story takes me somewhere new.
